Violinist and Buffalo Philharmonic Concertmaster Michael Ludwig joins the West Virginia Symphony for its concerts this weekend.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Symphony
performs Mendelssohn's "Symphony No. 3 in A minor (Scottish)" at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Clay Center in concerts that feature acclaimed violinist and Buffalo Philharmonic Concertmaster Michael Ludwig
. Maestro Grant Cooper will also lead the symphony in Mendelssohn's dramatic masterpiece "The Hebrides (Fingal's Cave)," and Ludwig will join the group for Max Bruch's Scottish Fantasy in E-flat major.Tickets start at $12 for adults and $6 for students and children through the Clay Center at 304-561-3570 or www.theclaycenter.org
