Bringing the Civil War to life

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Scholar and performer Bobby Horton will give an up close and personal look at some essential American history when he performs "Stories and Songs of the Civil War" in a FestivALL event Sunday at the Scottish Rite Temple, 406 Capitol St.

The FOOTMAD-sponsored event begins at 3:30 p.m. with demonstrations by young local re-enactors from the West Virginia Military Academy and the Lizzie Cabell Finishing School, who will perform drills and dances in period attire. Horton performs at 4 p.m.
