Edwin McCain, best known for his late '90s hit "I'll Be," headlines Live on the Levee Friday evening.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- In the 15 years since his smash hit "I'll Be" came out, Edwin McCain has stayed busy. The singer/songwriter, who headlines Friday's free Live on the Levee at Haddad Riverfront Park, has put out an additional nine albums (including a concert album released Aug. 5), toured far and wide and been a frequent pop culture pundit on VH1's "I Love the..." decade specials and "100 Greatest" countdowns.

He'll perform sets at 7:45 and 8:45 p.m. Local blues rockers Chaz Humley & the Effects, who competed in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in January and will do so again next January, open the show at 6:30 p.m.
