Symphonic start

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra opens its 2013-14 season this weekend with "Tchaikovsky V." Cellist Jolyon Pegis and violinist Maria Schleuning join the orchestra for Rozsa's Sinfonia Concertante for violin, cello and orchestra Op. 29. Additionally, the symphony will perform Wagner's "Prelude to Die Meistersinger" and, of course, Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5.Concerts are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Clay Center.
