When the American Chamber Players open the Chamber Music Society's season Saturday, it will be the group's third performance in Charleston.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Charleston Chamber Music Society opens its 73rd season at 7 p.m. Saturday at Christ Church United Methodist, 1221 Quarrier St., with the American Chamber Players, founded by Miles Hoffman of NPR fame. Hoffman plays viola, with Sara Stern on flute, Joanna Maurer on violin, Stephen Balderston on cello and Anna Stoytcheva on piano. The group will perform works by Carl Maria von Weber, Albert Ginastera, Beethoven, Mahler and Mozart.Season tickets, available at the door, are $60 for the series of five concerts.
