The Clay Center's "Trees of the World" exhibit closes Dec. 31.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Clay Center will host a series of holiday break art activities for children Thursday through Monday from noon to 4 p.m. daily. The crafts, which focus on different cultures, are: peacocks, Thursday (India); dream catchers, Friday (Native America); coffee filter fans, Saturday (Asia); Dutch pottery paper plate, Sunday (Netherlands) and snake pencil toppers, Monday (China).Also, the "Trees of the World" exhibit closes Dec. 31. It features trees decorated by area students to reflect holiday traditions from countries around the globe.Gallery admission, which includes the art activities, is $7.50 for adults and $6 for children; packages with planetarium and film admission are also available.
