Kids' movies and crafts at Culture Center

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Culture Center will host free movie screenings and crafts for children Thursday through Saturday. Films show at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Culture Center Theater, and winter crafts run 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Great Hall.The film schedule is "The Smurfs 2" Thursday; "Monsters University" Friday and "Planes" Saturday. "The Smurfs 2," which finds the blue creatures teaming with their human friends to rescue Smurfette from Gargamel, is rated PG, as is "Planes," the "Cars" spin-off about a crop-dusting plane with a fear of heights who dreams of competing in an around-the-world race. "Monsters University," a prequel to "Monsters, Inc." that tells how Mike and Sully met, is rated G.Call Caryn Gresham at 304-558-0220.
