CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Esquires, a mainstay of the Charleston music scene since 1963, will perform its distinctive brand of 60s-era R&B at a Super Bowl Saturday Dance beginning at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Charleston Moose Lodge 2805 Kanawha Blvd. E. Dress is "football game" casual.
The Esquires will perform from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. Randy Damron, who serves as emcee, will DJ until 7:15 p.m. as well as during band breaks, and the Dave Collins Project performs for an hour at 7:15 p.m.
Tickets are $25 and include "hearty tailgate food." Reservations are available for tables of six. Proceeds benefit the Gazette Charities Send-a-Child to Camp Fund. Tickets are available in the Charleston Newspapers lobby, 1001 Virginia St., E., as well as at the door on the night of the event or by calling 304-348-3050.
