CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- This young man is Brian; he is 10 years old and is looking for a forever home that is kind, loving and accepting.Brian is a very creative child. He has been described by adults as kindhearted, willing to help others and sensitive to the feelings of others. He has a rich imagination and is very giving, both to adults and to his peers.He enjoys a variety of activities and toys. His favorite toys are dolls, stuffed animals and Matchbox cars. As a creative child, Brian enjoys coloring and drawing. He would prefer to live in a home where he can play outdoors. He loves riding his bike, drawing with sidewalk chalk and fishing.Brian has been subjected to a lot during his short life. He is working hard to overcome his trauma. He is now able to express his feelings more openly and practice some of his coping skills used for self-soothing and calming. Brian desperately wants to be part of a family where he will be loved and accepted for who he is. Brian has some difficulty bonding and may require a little extra time. He has experienced many losses in his short life and has continued to make remarkable progress. He is very open to starting a new life with a loving family and would love to have a sister.
