For the second time this week, West Virginia American Water has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for about 300 customers in the communities of Bim, Pondco, Barrett, Wharton and Clinton in Boone County. The affected area includes W.Va. 85 beginning in Bim and running through Clinton, as well as all side roads in between. The advisory follows a water main break, which drained a nearby water storage tank, according to West Virginia American Water. In the original boil-water advisory, issued Monday afternoon, the company said a power outage to a booster station caused a water storage tank to drain. That initial advisory was lifted late Tuesday afternoon. The Department of Health and Human Resources has lifted a boil-water advisory for the Lively area of the Pax Water Company in Fayette County.
