Downtown Spencer egg hunt will be held at 3 p.m. Children ages 1-4 will hunt on the front lawn of the courthouse. Kids ages 5-7 will hunt for eggs on the Municipal Building lawn. Kids ages 8-10 will hunt eggs in Heritage Park. Mile Tree Health Care in Spencer will have its Easter egg hunt at 6 p.m. Met Opera: will present a live performance of "Manon" by Massenet, from noon to 4:05 p.m. Saturday at Great Escape in Nitro and Cinemark at the Huntington Mall in Barboursville. Set in 18th century France in the reign of Louis XV, the new production of Massentet's quintessentially French moral masterpiece, which is considered one of his best. Tickets at Cinemark are $22 for adults, $20 for seniors; and $15 for children. Tickets at Great Escape are $20 for adults, $16 for seniors and $16 for children. The egg hunt will start at noon. A variety of options for children in fifth grade and under will be featured. The event is free. Jupiter Jump, toddler inflatables, duck pond, cotton candy, beanbag toss, Easter Plenko, face painting and a visit from the Easter Bunny is planned. The egg hunt will be divided into age groups and will include lucky eggs to win bicycles and other prizes.
