Three state airports to receive funding for upgrades
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Airports in Marion, Mason and Mercer counties will receive a total of $939,000 in federal funding for improvements.
U.S. Sens. Jay Rockefeller and Joe Manchin announced the Federal Aviation Administration grants Monday.
The Fairmont Municipal-Frankman Field will receive $600,000 to help the airport meet design standards.
The Mason County Airport in Point Pleasant will get $189,210 for airfield operations and runway lighting.
The Mercer County Airport in Bluefield will receive $150,000 for snow removal equipment.
