Virginia man hurt in Raleigh County crash
BECKLEY, W.Va. -- Firefighters in Raleigh County cut a Virginia man free from his truck after he lost control and flipped Tuesday night along Interstate 64.
Just before 9 p.m., a 65-year-old Virginia man was driving his Ford F-150 east along Sandstone Mountain when he rolled the vehicle several times and became trapped. The truck had veered off the left side of the roadway into the median and the driver was trying to correct his actions when he lost control, according to the Raleigh County Sheriff's Department.
Beaver volunteer firefighters cut the man free and he was transported by ambulance helicopter in critical condition to a nearby hospital.
The man's name has not been released and the crash remains under investigation.
