CLENDENIN, W.Va. -- West Virginia American Water has issued a boil-water advisory for approximately 500 customers in Clendenin. The affected area includes Thorofare Road from the 2000 block to Sandy Brae Golf Course, including Sandy Brae Golf Course, Harper Estates and Rolling Hills. The advisory follows a water main break.Craigsville Public Service District has issued a boil-water advisory for East Webster Road, Alderson Church Road, Nile Road, Armstrong Road and all their side roads, and for W.Va. 41 from Nile Road to the top of Big Cut Hill. Beckley Water Company has issued a boil-water advisory for 4H Lake Road from Daniels Elementary School to the end of the system in Crow, including all side streets. The advisory was issued following a water main break.Beckley Water Company is issuing a notice of a planned water outage from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday for line repairs. The outage will affect all residents in White Oak and Shady Spring, including Flat Top Road to Cherry Creek Dip. Residents in that area are encouraged to collect enough water for bathing, drinking and cooking. A boil-water advisory will be issued and will be in effect for 24 hours following the outage.
Customers in those areas should boil their water for at least one full minute prior to use until further notice.Pineville Municipal Water Works has lifted boil-water advisories for the follow areas: Top of Jackson Hill to Jesse Mountain at the end of the system; Rolling Hills; and from the water plant to W.Va. 16, River Road.
The Department of Health and Human Resources has also lifted the boil-water advisory issued for the Trough Fork area of the Ravencliff-McGraws-Saulsville Public Service District.
