OAK HILL, W.Va. -- A Fayette County man was hospitalized early Monday after someone shot him in the leg, police said.Fayette County deputies were notified that a man checked into Plateau Medical Center at about 1:30 a.m. with a gunshot wound to his lower leg. The victim, Josh Treadway, 27, of Oak Hill, told deputies the shooting occurred about 30 minutes earlier at a residence in Ansted, according to a news release issued by Fayette Sheriff Steve Kessler.Hill was then transferred to Raleigh General Hospital, where he underwent surgery Monday morning. His injury is not life threatening, Kessler said.Treadway identified a suspect and deputies spoke with multiple witnesses. The suspect's name has not been released and charges have not been filed yet, Kessler said. The incident remains under investigation.
