W.Va. Broadcasting Hall of Fame to induct 12

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- West Virginia's first full-time female television news anchor is among 12 people named to the West Virginia Broadcasting Hall of Fame.Debra Thomas was a reporter and anchor for WSAZ-TV. She later worked at KMGH-TV in Denver before retiring.
The other inductees are Willis Cook, Jo Corey, Mark Davis, Steve Mazure, J.B. Miller, George Parnicza, Jim Reader, Garry Ritchie, Loray Robinson, Vernon Stanfill and Rich Wachtel.An induction ceremony will take place Oct. 27 at The Museum of Radio and Technology in Huntington. The event is invitation-only.Hall of Fame committee chairman Tom Resler says the inductees have created a diversity of programming at radio and TV stations across the state.
