Kanawha County Democratic Executive Committee: will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the courtroom of Judge Charlie King, fourth floor of the Judicial Annex building. This will be the committee's official Meet the Candidates Night.
The West Virginia State Board of Registration for Foresters: will hold its regular semi-annual meeting at 10 a.m. Thursday at the West Virginia Division of Forestry's State Office Conference Room, 7 Players Club Drive. Applications for registration will be reviewed and regular Board business will be conducted.
West Virginia Landlords: will meet for social hour at 6 p.m. Thursday at the China Gourmet, Southridge, across from IHOP. The dinner/meeting will follow at 7 p.m. All landlords are welcome. Call 304-342-4342 for information.
Elk Valley Public Service: will hold a public meeting concerning the Elk River Interceptor Replacement Project at 2 p.m. Oct. 12 at the office of Elk Valley PSD, 100 Bream Drive, Elkview. The meeting will address all pertinent details of the proposed project. The replacement of the interceptor line will be in two areas: Bridge Elementary School downstream to Elkview Baptist Church, and River Drive downstream to Waters Edge Drive. The project is funded by the state Department of Environmental Protection, State Revolving Fund Program. For information, call 304-965-1676.
