will offer examinations for those who want a new or upgraded amateur radio license from the Federal Communications Commission at 9 a.m. Oct. 13 at the Museum of Radio and Technology, Huntington. All examination elements will be offered for all amateur radio license classes. A fee of $15 per test will be charged. Pre-registration is not necessary, but applicants must complete FCC Form NCVEC 605, available at the exam session, and must bring all documents with them. Hurricane Harvest Fest
will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. Oct. 13 at Hurricane City Park. Inflatables, face painting, petting zoo, pony rides, hayrides, pet parade with prizes, carnival games, chili cook-off, fire trucks, pony buggy rides, vendors and fireworks will be featured. Vendor applications are available. Registration is also being taken for the chili cook-off.
