The concert, titled "Madrigalia," will be completely a capella. The concert is free, but an offering will be collected.South Charleston Public Library Board: will hold its regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the library. The agenda is available at the library.Sissonville Branch Library: will host a Halloween party for community children from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crafts, games, prizes and refreshments will be provided by library staff and board members, as well as volunteers from the Optimist Club and the Women's Club. Costumes are optional. The event is open to children of all ages and their families. Reservations are not required.
South Charleston Housing Authority Board of Commissioners: will meet at 6 p.m. on Oct. 25 at the administrative offices at 520 Goshorn St., South Charleston.Valley Woodworkers of West Virginia: will present Glen Huey, a master woodworker and contributing editor to Popular Woodworking magazine, in a daylong workshop titled "Finishing for All Skill Levels" on Oct. 27 at the Valley Woodworkers clubhouse, 300 12th St., Dunbar (across the street from the library). Huey will cover both hand-applied and sprayed finishes in a variety of ways. The workshop is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $20 for Valley Woodworkers members and $30 for non-members.
