Two enter guilty pleas in state bath salts case

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. -- Two employees of north-central West Virginia shops have pleaded guilty to federal charges stemming from the sale of illegal bath salts.Court documents entered Monday in federal court in Clarksburg show 30-year-old Jeremia J. Phillips and 40-year-old Derrick Calip each entered the pleas to a drug conspiracy charge.Both were indicted in April when authorities shut down their employer's "Hot Stuff and Cool Things'' stores in Buckhannon and Clarksburg.
Prosecutors say the stores were a major source of bath salts in the region.Both men face up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine. No sentencing date was immediately set.
