Malden Public Service District board of commissioners will meet at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 4 at the district office, in the administrative building of the treatment facility.
Attorney General Darrell McGraw will have a consumer advocate from his office at several locations to answer questions about consumer protection issues, take complaints and process free credit reports for staff and citizens. Anyone needing to complete a complaint form is asked to bring any documentation he or she might have. The schedule includes: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 6, Greenbrier County Courthouse, Lewisburg; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 10, Clay County Courthouse, Clay; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 12, Fayette County Courthouse, Fayetteville. Daughters of the American Revolution Kanawha Valley Chapter will meet at noon Dec. 8 for its annual Christmas luncheon at Berry Hills Country Club. The Main Attraction Quartet, part of the Kanawha Kordsmen barbershop chorus, will present a musical program. Reservations are required and must be received by Dec. 5. Hostesses are Laura Lee Albert and Shirley Gilkeson. In lieu of a gift exchange, members are asked to donate money for the purchase of gift cards for the children residing at the DAR School in Tamassee, S.C. Bring wrapped gifts for door prizes for the chapter's Veterans Christmas Party Dec. 16.
Dunbar Branch Library advisory board will sponsor a holiday program from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Dunbar Library, in Dunbar. A visit with Santa Claus, family story time, performance by Dunbar Middle School's award-winning band and show choir and more will be featured.
