Two men sought in Rand 'bear hug' robbery

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Police are looking for two men who allegedly robbed an 18-year-old man in Rand late Thursday night.Kanawha County sheriff's deputies said James Lovett was standing on Davidson Avenue in Rand around 10 p.m. when a newer-model dark blue Ford Focus stopped in front of him.Two black males exited the vehicle; one allegedly placed Lovett in a "bear hug"-style restraint while the other suspect stole his wallet and MP3 player, according to the Sheriff's Department.
Lovett was not injured in the incident.The suspects are in their early 20s, 6 feet tall and around 200 pounds each. One male had dreadlocks and was wearing blue jeans and a white sweater jacket. The other suspect was wearing black jeans, a black jacket and white baseball cap. They fled east on Davidson Avenue.Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. S.C.
