About 770 customers in state without power after storm

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- After much of West Virginia dodged the worst of the latest winter storm, only about 770 customers of Appalachian Power and Mon Power remained without electricity Thursday evening.As of 7:30 p.m., fewer than 215 Appalachian Power customers had no electricity, according to the company's website. All of those customers were in Raleigh County.Just 555 Mon Power customers were without electricity at 7:30 p.m., according to the company's website. Almost all of those were in Marion and Preston counties.
