About 770 customers in state without power after storm
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- After much of West Virginia dodged the worst of the latest winter storm, only about 770 customers of Appalachian Power and Mon Power remained without electricity Thursday evening.
As of 7:30 p.m., fewer than 215 Appalachian Power customers had no electricity, according to the company's website. All of those customers were in Raleigh County.
Just 555 Mon Power customers were without electricity at 7:30 p.m., according to the company's website. Almost all of those were in Marion and Preston counties.
