will sponsor a "Strikes for Tykes Bowl-a-thon" event from 5 to 8 p.m. Jan. 19 at White Oak Lanes, Oak Hill. The event will benefit the New River Gorge Learning Co-op, a Montessori-based learning program for preschool and elementary children in Fayette County. Registration is $30 per person, and six bowlers makes a team. Single bowlers can register and be placed on a team. Registration fee includes a groovy '60s party including '60s tunes, bowling, pizza from Pies & Pints, drinks, an official Bowl-a-thon T-shirt (if registering by Wednesday) and more. Participants are encouraged to wear 1960s fashions. Prizes will be raffled to individuals who gather donations of $100 or more.
