Police dog helps nab Fayette County burglary suspect

MOUNT HOPE, W.Va. -- Fayette County sheriff's deputies captured a burglary suspect Tuesday night with the help of the department's police dog.Fayette County Sheriff Steve Kessler said a neighbor called 911 at about 8 p.m. because there was a man on the front porch of a nearby home on Kilsyth Road near Mount Hope. The caller told dispatchers the homeowners were on vacation, and that no one should be at the house, Kessler said.
On their way to the scene, deputies found out the suspect had gotten into the house. Deputies sent their apprehension dog into the house when they got there, and the dog was able to subdue the suspect, Kessler said.Kenneth Jesse James, 52, of Mount Hope, was arrested and charged with a felony count of burglary. James was in the Southern Regional Jail on Wednesday, with bail set at $10,000.
