CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A second suspect who has been at-large since Monday has been arrested in connection to a home invasion robbery in St. Albans.Cody Hudson, 18, of St. Albans is facing robbery, burglary and wanton endangerment charges after he and Nick Trent Hanson, 18, of 385 West Main St. in St. Albans, allegedly broke into a home on Maryland Avenue early Monday morning, according to the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department.Residents of the home were awoken by noise and saw two suspects allegedly using handguns to force another home occupant into a bedroom where a one-year-old child was sleeping, according to the sheriff's department.
The suspects were attempting to steal items to sell for narcotics, according to the sheriff's department.
The homeowner dialed 911 and Hudson and Hanson fled. Once outside, the two men allegedly fired several rounds into the home where the infant and occupants were still inside, according to the sheriff's department.Hanson was arrested first and faces robbery, burglary and wanton endangerment charges.Around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, sheriff's deputies found Hudson and, after a short foot pursuit, arrested him, according to the sheriff's department. Hudson was arraigned by in Kanawha County Magistrate Court is being held at the South Central Regional Jail on a $150,000 bond.
