FUTURE EVENTSBoard of directors of the Metro Emergency Operations Center: will meet at noon Thursday in the media room at the Ned Chilton 911 Center of Kanawha County, 900 Peyton Way in Southridge Business Park. The finance committee will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the same location.Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority: will have an officers meeting at 11 a.m. Friday in the new training conference room at the central office, 601 Brooks St. The regular board of directors meeting will take place at noon Friday in the cafeteria. Kanawha State Forest Foundation and Mary Ingles Trail Blazers: will sponsor the 2013 Shirley Schweizer Winter Walk at 2 p.m. Saturday in Kanawha State Forest. Join Doug Wood for a fun interpretive walk in the woods: Winter Storms and Forest Ecology. Meet at the swimming pool area. Refreshments will be available. Dress according to weather, especially footwear. The walk is free, however donations are appreciated.
