West Virginia State University VSU Extension Service and the West Virginia Alliance for Sustainable Families will sponsor an informational session on the Earned Income Tax Credit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in WVSU's Wilson Student Union, at 301 Washington Ave., Institute, as part of a national EITC Awareness Day. Those who earn less than $50,270 from wages, self-employment or farming may be eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and free help preparing their tax return. Detria Waller, extension agent with WVSU Extension Service, is hosting the event.WV K9 Search & Rescue Inc. will have a membership recruitment meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Dunbar Fire Department, 907 Dunbar Ave. Dunbar. WVK9SAR is an all-volunteer professional search and rescue team using canines and field team members to search for lost and missing persons. Admission is free. Museum of Radio and Technology in Huntington features more than 400 antique radios, an RCA television camera -- one of two demonstrated at the 1939 World's Fair, two rare Nytrola windup phonographs made in Charleston, a radio that belonged to William Wrigley (the chewing gum maker), and more. It is the largest radio museum in the eastern United States, with 10,000 square feet of display area.
