Kanawha PSD meetingThe Kanawha Public Service District regularly scheduled meetings will change to 9 a.m. every other Thursday beginning March 7.Fitness classesQuantum Sports Center will host free fitness classes for all Charleston-Kanawha Housing Authority residents at Orchard Manor's Switzer Center Saturday and March 9. For adults, there is a strength and cardio fitness class at 1 p.m. For children, there are three soccer classes: ages 2-5 at 10 a.m., ages 6-10 at 11 a.m. and an advanced training class for ages 11-15 at noon. All soccer classes are limited to the first 10 players. Early arrival is suggested. The Kanawha County Republican Women's Club will hold its regular monthly meeting on Monday at the Charleston Civic Center. A buffet lunch will be served. Parking and lunch is $11.Woman's ClubThe Woman's Club of Charleston, located on the corner of Virginia and Elizabeth streets, meets the first Wednesday of each month. The next meeting will be held March 6. Networking begins at 11:30 a.m. Lunch, for $10, is served at noon, with a meeting following at 1 p.m. This month's program will be presented by Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist Ed Rabel. Members also get together the second Wednesday of each month for crafts at 10 a.m. and the third Wednesday for Brunch, Bridge and Bingo at 11 a.m. Anyone interested in attending or joining should call the club at 304-342-1611. Bridge card classPutnam County Parks and Recreation Commission is hosting a beginners Contract Bridge card class 7 to 9:30 p.m. March 26 and continuing through June 11 in the Commons at Valley Park in Hurricane.
