Manna Meal will have its sixth annual Spring Concert at 7 p.m. March 23 at Kanawha United Presbyterian Church, 1009 Virginia St. E.Admission is free, but donations will be accepted to help the Charleston area's hungry and homeless population.
The concert will feature an "Evening of Song" with performances by Bare Bones and The Martin Luther King Jr. Male Chorus. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. A collection will be taken to help support Manna Meal's mission of fighting hunger in the Kanawha Valley through feeding families, seniors, low income service workers and Charleston's homeless population. A reception will be held in the church hall following the concert.Manna Meal is a nonprofit organization founded in 1976 and housed in St. John's Episcopal Church. Its mission is to serve anyone who is hungry, no questions asked. The program is operated by a small paid staff, but depends on volunteers to assist in all aspects of its operations.
