Two state historical sites need cleanup volunteers
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Civil War Trust is seeking volunteers to help clean and restore two state Civil War sites. The annual event, called Park Day, will be held April 6 and is part of a nationwide effort that includes more than 100 historic sites in 24 states. Activities may range from raking leaves and hauling trash to painting and planting trees.The participating sites in the state include:-- Rich Mountain Battlefield in Beverly.
