Boil water advisory issued in Pinch area
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- About 200 customers in the Pinch area were put under a boil water advisory Sunday afternoon after a morning water break.
West Virginia American Water said the advisory affects customers along Quick Road from Indian Creek Road/South Pinch Road to Pinch Ridge Road, Cavender Road, Boner Road, Mountaineer Heights subdivision, Rambling Hills Road and others who experienced low water pressure or a disruption earlier Sunday.
The problem was caused when a water main broke at a creek, which drained a water storage tank, the company said. Crews were on the scene by early afternoon but customers could experience low water pressure or a temporary service outage for about six hours, the company said.
