Diabetes lunch program
Boone Memorial Hospital will present a "Got Sugar?" lunch and learn program as part of its "Healthy You" series from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the BMH conference room, second floor. Lunch is free. The Community Educational Outreach Service will hold its 37th annual quilt show and sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 5 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 6 at Epworth United Methodist Church, Ripley. Elkview Middle auction
Elkview Middle Athletic Boosters will have an auction from 6 to 10 p.m. April 13 in the Elkview Middle School gymnasium. The auction will include items from a No. 1 Home Shopping Network. A silent auction will take place in the school cafeteria from 6 to 9 p.m.; you don't have to be present to win. All proceeds benefit Elkview Athletic Boosters. During this time, patrons may return overdue items to any KCPL location and no fines will be assessed for the returned items. Please note that the $15 long-overdue fee for items more than 45 days past due will not be waived during fine-free week.
