State offering cooking class series
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Division of Culture and History is offering a series of cooking classes in Charleston.
The First Lady's Culinary Cultures program will have three sessions featuring chefs and food specialists from around the state. Each session will include three classes, costs $60 per person and is limited to 20 participants.
Among the topics to be discussed are springtime soups, grilling, canning and pickling, and cooking with seafood and grains.
The first session starts April 15 and also includes classes on May 6 and June 3. Participants will be invited to bring a guest to the third class.
The other two sessions will be held starting in July and in October.
