CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- An Elkview man allegedly threatened a 13-year-old girl to get her inside his car, before he drove around for hours and raped her at a motel last week, police say.Bradley Alan Price, 34, surrendered himself to police Wednesday and was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault and one count of felony kidnapping. He had been wanted for nearly a week.According to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court, the 13-year-old girl left a friend's house at 8 p.m. April 10, and walked to the bus stop near Central Avenue and Russell Street on Charleston's West Side.Price, a pizza delivery driver, pulled up beside the girl and tried to talk to her, but she ignored him and kept walking, according to the complaint.Price then jumped out of the car, grabbed the girl's arm and said, "If you don't get in the car I will hurt you," according to the complaint. The girl reluctantly got inside the car, but Price allegedly reassured her by saying she would be freed when his shift ended at 1 a.m. Price drove the girl around on several pizza deliveries, to and from the restaurant. The girl later told police she didn't try to escape because she was afraid that Price would hurt her. Price told the girl to look at him while he was driving and said, "It's OK, I'm only 21," according to the complaint. After Price's shift ended, he told the victim they were going to stop by his grandmother's house in Elkview. Instead, he took the victim to his house along Aaron's Ford Road in Elkview to drop off medicine to his own children, according to the complaint.Price stayed inside the house for about 5 minutes before returning to the car, driving to the Knights Inn in Kanawha City and renting a room. Price then repeatedly raped the girl, according to the complaint.Early next morning, the girl escaped to the motel's front desk and called her father, who drove to the motel. Price fled before the girl's father arrived and called police. The father told police he thought his daughter was at a friend's house and didn't know she was in danger, according to the complaint.Price was arraigned in Kanawha magistrate court Wednesday night and ordered held in South Central Regional Jail without bail.Reach Travis Crum at email@example.com or 304-348-5163.
