DENVER -- It may be spring, but another round of winter weather and poor travel conditions are blanketing Colorado.There is a winter storm warning in the central mountains, sandwiched by winter storm watches on the Western Slope and Eastern Plains.The Colorado Department of Transportation has closed Interstate-70 eastbound from Burlington to Kansas.
The National Weather Service says most of the Denver metro area will end up with 3 to 6 inches of snow through early Tuesday.
Up to 10 inches of show is expected in the central mountains. The Colorado Avalanche Information Center says avalanche danger there is considerable.On Saturday, 6 people were caught in an avalanche north of Loveland Pass. All were buried, and five were killed.Denver International Airport says there are no major delays.
