W.Va. Turnpike reopens after tractor-trailer wreck
STANDARD, W.Va. -- All lanes of the West Virginia Turnpike reopened Wednesday evening after a tractor-trailer rolled over and caught fire in the afternoon.
Traffic had been diverted along the northbound and southbound lanes off exit 74 near Standard, a State Police dispatcher said.
The tractor-trailer was driving northbound along Interstate 77 when the accident occurred at 4 p.m. Dispatchers were unsure of injuries.
State troopers, state Department of Transportation workers and firefighters had responded to the scene. Traffic became congested and dispatchers had asked drivers to avoid the area.
