Soup and Silence program

Countywide yard sale

Clay County Business Development Authority has announced its first 60-plus miles community yard sale to be held May 2-4 in Clay County. The advertised routes for the yard sale will be W.Va. 4, W.Va. 36, and W.Va. 16 -- the major routes through Clay County. There are no registration fees and interested persons just need to set up and sell. Sellers usually set up by 7 or 8 a.m., but there are no set times or locations. Craft show

Fayette County Cancer Support Group will have a craft show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 4 at the Lewis Community Center, 469 Centra3l Ave., Oak Hill. Admission is by donation. Booths are available for rental for $35. Door prizes will be offered hourly. Refreshments will be available. Crafts from talented artisans will be featured and make a great Mother's Day gift. Summer camp registration

The Mountain Institute's Mountain Adventures Summer Camp for ages 12-17 is open for registration. The camp will run in one-week sessions starting June 16. Activities include caving, backpacking, rock climbing and whitewater rafting. All programs start and end at the Spruce Knob Mountain Center in Circleville. Space is limited.
