Police look for fourth suspect in downtown robbery
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Police are looking for a fourth suspect in connection to robbery that injured two men in downtown Charleston early Sunday.
Security cameras outside of Sam's Uptown Cafe captured a suspect wearing a light blue hat and a black or dark gray denim jacket with designs on the back. The suspect's first name is Timothy and he goes by the nickname "T.C.", Charleston Police Sgt. Eric Hodges said in a news release Friday.
Police arrested three University of Charleston basketball players earlier this week in connection to the robbery, which occurred at about 2:40 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Laidley Street and Virginia Street East. Two victims received minor injuries.
Robbie Dreher, 22; Terrell Lipkins, 20; and Quincy Washington, 22; three members of the UC basketball team, were each charged with two counts of first-degree robbery. Lipkins was also charged with four counts of access device fraud because police said he later used a credit card taken during the robbery.
The suspect identified Friday is not a University of Charleston student, Hodges said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Charleston Police's Criminal Investigation Division at 304-348-6480.
