PRINCETON, W.Va. -- Two people have been sentenced for their roles in the 2011 slaying of a Mercer County man.Media outlets report that 39-year-old Tammy Lee Keen and 39-year-old Thomas Tyler Hall each received 40-year sentences for second-degree murder on Monday.Mercer County Circuit Court Judge William Sadler also gave Keen a 10-year sentence for robbery. Her sentences are to run consecutively.
Keen and Hall had pleaded guilty earlier this year. The Princeton residents originally were charged with first-degree murder in the March 2011 death of 41-year-old Timothy DeWitt of Princeton.Highway maintenance workers found DeWitt's body near an Interstate 77 bridge in the Camp Creek area. He had been shot several times.
