Concord raises interim VP to interim president
ATHENS, W.Va. -- Kendra Boggess has been named interim president of Concord University.
Concord's Board of Governors appointed Boggess to the position Thursday. The board plans to discuss the search process for a new president on May 11.
Gregory Aloia announced in April that he would resign as Concord president after he was named president of the College of Coastal Georgia, in Brunswick, Ga. He will begin that job July 1.
Boggess currently is interim vice president and academic dean. Her appointment as interim president must be approved by the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission.
