Four sent to CAMC General after I-64 wreck
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Four people were transported to the hospital Monday evening after a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 64 eastbound near Charleston's Virginia Street exit.
The driver of the vehicle lost control and hit an outside retaining wall at about 7:45 p.m., causing the airbags to deploy, according to a Charleston Police Department dispatcher.
The three passengers and driver were transported to CAMC General with minor injuries.
The two right lanes of I-64 closed temporarily while the totaled car was towed away. The lanes have since reopened. Poor weather conditions Monday contributed to several other accidents in Kanawha County.
