A ramp dinner will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Vae's<co > Diner, 517 Elk St., Gassaway. Proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association and Davis Elementary School. Cabell County Schools is working to expand the number of locally grown items used in creating school meals. To help accomplish this, the district's Farm to School program is conducting an organizational meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at Milton Elementary. All farmers and producers are invited to attend the meeting. Representatives of the Food Service program will be on hand to give farmers an idea of what fruits, vegetables and other products are needed to produce menu items. They will discuss quantities needed, timelines for deliveries and other logistical concerns.
