Beginning May 20, staff members of Sen. Joe Manchin will hold 95 public meetings in one week, hitting all of the state's 55 counties, to hear the concerns of West Virginians.It will be the fifth time that Manchin has held a week of "Commonsense Connections" meetings. Manchin began the meetings in 2011."Bringing the government directly to our citizens and knowing their concerns and ideas have always been top priorities," Manchin said in a written statement. "My staff travels to every corner of the state, to every county, and meets with West Virginians to hear about their personal challenges and suggestions for Washington."Meeting times will be:
Kanawha: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 21 at the Kanawha Valley Senior Services annual picnic at Shawnee Park. Putnam: 2:30 to 4 p.m. May 22 at the Eleanor Public Library.
