Man arrested in Belle on gun, drug charges

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- State Police arrested a man in Belle and seized more than 100 guns, money and what is believed to be methamphetamine and marijuana from his home.Dorsey Junior Woolwine, 62, of Belle, was arrested Wednesday and a search of his property went on for much of the day.  By 1 p.m., troopers had found more than 100 guns, $10,000 in cash and an extensive meth lab, said State Police Capt. Joe White.Woolwine later told Trooper B.A. Ward that he has been selling meth for about six years, according to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.Police seized "an abundance of firearms ... of different calibers and types" from the property, according to the complaint.Woolwine had been convicted of unlawful wounding of a person, a felony, which makes it illegal for him to own guns, according to the criminal complaint.Kanawha County Magistrate Kim Aaron set Woolwine's bail at $30,000. He is being held in the South Central Regional Jail.White said the State Police Special Response Team and the Crime Scene Response Team assisted in the arrest.
