ELK GARDEN, W.Va. -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is looking for volunteers to help with the third annual cleanup of Jennings Randolph Lake.Organizers say they especially need volunteers with boats to help out on June 15. Life jackets are required. The cleanup is expected to last about three hours.
Volunteers will meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Howell Run boat launch for safety briefing. Rangers will shuttle trash and volunteers between sections of the lake. Trash bags and gloves will be provided, along with snacks and refreshments afterward.
Because the shoreline is rocky, sturdy footwear is suggested.
