Charleston offers free swimming at city pools

By Staff reports

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Swimming is now free each day at any of four city pools in Charleston, Mayor Danny Jones announced Monday.

The pool at Cato Park, the city's largest pool, is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Its opening was delayed until enough lifeguards could be hired.

Pools at the North Charleston, Martin Luther King Jr. and Kanawha City community centers are open from noon to 6 p.m. daily.
