"JOIN THE PARTY: CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF MOUNTAIN STAGE": Show memorabilia, glimpses of backstage moments and artwork created by state artists in celebration of the show's 30th anniversary will be on display from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Good News Mountaineer Garage Gallery, 221 1/2 Hale St. A reception will be held at 5 p.m. June 27.

EAST END MAIN STREET STREETWORKS ART AUCTION AND CELEBRATION: This fifth annual event runs 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Habitat for Humanity Restore, 301 Piedmont Road. Up for auction is artwork used to create artistic street signs displayed along Washington Street East. Ted Brightwell hosts the evening, which also includes live music, beer, wine and hors d'oeuvres. Tickets are $25.
WEST SIDE OLD-FASHIONED ICE CREAM SOCIAL: Activities at this free annual event include archery, kids crafts, woodworking demonstrations, face painting and music by the Charleston Metro Band, Charleston Mountain Mission Youth Choir and Coal Train. There are also, of course, free ice cream cones from United Dairy. It takes place on the Stonewall Jackson Middle School lawn from 2 to 6 p.m.
KIDS VARIETY SHOW: Ron Sowell hosts this event from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bluegrass Kitchen, 1600 Washington St. E. There will be limited space for walk-in signups. Call 304-346-2871.
TASTE-OF-ALL: Stop by the Civic Center from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. to sample dishes from 21 area restaurants. Tickets are required to sample food, and tastes range from 50 cents to $4. Musical entertainment is Steve Himes (jazz guitar), 11 a.m. to noon; All Jazzed Up (big band and swing), 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 to 3 p.m. and Tarab Raqs (Middle Eastern music and dance), 3:45 to 5 p.m. The Mountain Valley & WV Kickers will give a clogging performance from 3 to 3:30 p.m., and there is open ballroom dancing from 1:45 to 2 p.m., followed by a dance contest from 2 to 2:30 p.m.
SUNRISE CARRIAGE TRAIL FIGHT FOR AIR WALK: 1 to 4 p.m. Sunrise Carriage Trail. Musicians will perform along the trail, including Hillside Brass Five, Saudade, Born Old and flutist Aryana Misaghi of the West Virginia Youth Symphony. Dancers from the JADCO Contemporary Dance Company will perform at 1:30, 2:30 and 3 p.m. The walk is on an incline and "mildly strenuous." Free, but donations accepted for the American Lung Association.

SPIRIT OF WEST VIRGINIA CRUISES: These one-hour cruises begin at Haddad Riverfront Park, go to the 35th Street Bridge and back. They run at 1:30, 3 and 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $12.50 for adults, $7.50 for kids under 12 and $10 for veterans and seniors.
