Art"JOIN THE PARTY: CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF MOUNTAIN STAGE": Show memorabilia, glimpses of backstage moments and artwork created by state artists in celebration of the show's 30th anniversary will be on display from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Good News Mountaineer Garage Gallery, 221 1/2 Hale St. A reception will be held at 5 p.m. June 27.MusicTHIRD EYE CABARET: Cellar, 8 Capitol St. Mark Bates opens at 9:30 p.m. for the Company Stores, who perform at 10 p.m. At midnight, Bates will host a free singer-songwriter showcase.FilmWEST VIRGINIA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL: The group will screen the 2013 Oscar-nominated live action shorts from 8 to 10 p.m. at Taylor Books. There are five shorts. Admission is free. (The animated shorts nominees will be shown June 28 at Davis Park.)
DanceFESTIVALL DANCE GALA: This year, the event's special guests are Virginie Mecene and Martin Lofsnes of the prestigious Martha Graham Dance Company in New York. The gala runs 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Culture Center Theater. Mecene and Lofsnes will perform selections from "Appalachian Spring." The Charleston Ballet and River City Youth Ballet Ensemble will also perform. Tickets are $20, available at the door or in advance at the Clay Center (in person only) and Taylor Books. They'll be working from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.• RIVER QUEEN CRUISES: These one-and-a-half hour cruises kick off at Haddad Riverfront Park and takes in sights along the Kanawha River. Cruises at noon, 2, 4 and 6 p.m. Tickets are $19 for adults, $18 for seniors, $11 for ages 4-11 and free for ages 3 and under.Etc.EAST END GARDEN SHOWCASE: More than 30 local gardens are featured in this self-guided walking tour from dawn to dusk.
