I-64 lanes reopen after multi-vehicle accident
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A multiple-vehicle accident on the Eugene A. Carter Memorial Bridge closed two lanes of Interstate 64 East and the eastbound entrance ramp near the Virginia Street exit Thursday night.
As of 10:30 p.m., the interstate had reopened. Eight vehicles were involved in the accident, with one person transported to the hospital, according to a Metro 911 dispatcher. There were no fatalities.
Charleston police and fire departments and EMS were on the scene.
